Opening Barretiste has made Ali’s long-held dream of owning her own business a reality! The barre studio she previously practiced at became a place of comfort, fun and accomplishment for her, and she wanted to explore opening her own version of a private studio with a bit of New Orleans flair – which she has been able to achieve in the Barretiste’s converted warehouse space. Ali is a strong believer in barre training as key in achieving fitness and wellness goals. One aspect about barre that appealed to her was its accessibility to everyone – all ages, fitness newbies and veterans, pre/post-natal, male or female (yes men can do barre!) even students with various injuries. Modifications allow for the Barretiste workout to be highly adaptable. Ali looks forward to teaching Foundations, Classics, Burners and Workshops at Barretiste. Private and semi-private appointments with Ali are also available.  When she’s not at the barre, Ali is hanging out with her husband Graham and her French Bulldog, Mayonnaise, seeing live music, cooking and otherwise exploring a constantly changing city. Ali is a Tulane University graduate and received her Masters from Georgetown University.
